The 2023 Annual General Meeting of Mentor Support Network has provided a vote of confidence in the existing committee by returning all members for another year.

The Hunter Region’s Mentor Support Network (MSN) is paying tribute to its sponsors as their
substantial support is allowing the organisation to offer 42 scholarships to local students under its
2023 Educational Scholarship Program.

We are inviting Expressions of Interest from people with expertise and experience in fundraising to join the Committee.

Mentor Support Network welcomes two new leaders for the not-for-profit organisation as it heads into the second half of what has already been a busy 2022. Judy Hart, a retired pharmacist who has been involved in community volunteering for many years, is MSN’s new Chairperson. Judy joins another new but friendly face for the organisation

MSN has welcomed 2022 with news that Burton Automotive Group is a new supporter of our refugee sponsorship program.

A new opportunity of being offered by the Hunter-based Mentor Support Network (MSN) for people wishing to train as mentors to help the youth of the region.
MSN Course Facilitator, Matt Linnert, said mentor training courses in past years had been very successful and that he expected interest in the first opportunity for 2022 to be high.

A special course that provides training, professional development and networking for people who wish to become a mentor is to be held in early December 2021.

Mentor Support Network has paid tribute to its Patron, Dr Bernard ‘Bernie’ Curran AM, who passed away suddenly last Friday (30 July).

The Mentor Support network has farewelled three highly respected members of the Executive Committee; Coral Baldwin, Nick Killin and Katherine Heinrich. Each has stood down after distinguished contributions to helping young people whose education might have faltered because of financial constraints without the support of MSN.
