One of Mentor Support Network’s great sponsors, the Newcastle Group of the Knitters’ Guild NSW, is donating all proceeds from its exhibition in May to our organisation.
It is a magnificent gesture by the Newcastle Group and Mentor Support Network (MSN) appreciates the work and time of members of the guild in organising the exhibition which they are hoping will attract large crowds
during the two days.
The 2024 Glorious Yarn Fair is the Biennial Exhibition of the Newcastle Knitters Guild and will display knitted and crocheted works from the talented members of the guild. Important details are;

Date: Friday and Saturday, 3-4 May
Venue: Islington Baptist Church, 180 Maitland Road, Islington
Time: 10am to 4pm (café 10am to 2pm)
Admission: Free!
Highlights include beautiful handmade items to see and buy, morning/afternoon tea & light lunch, a raffle, free parking and venue close to public transport.
Kathy Heinrich from the Newcastle Group said all proceeds from the raffle, cafe and fundraising sales go to MSN “the more people who come the more we can promote the guild and the crafts of knitting and crochet and the more funds we can raise for MSN”.
Kathy said the raffle would include great hand-made prizes and MSN is encouraging all its members and supporters to visit the fair to see a great exhibition – and to buy a raffle ticket or two!
