MSN is very grateful for the help of its sponsors and we wish all our supporters the best for Christmas 2022 and the New Year 2023.
Without the help of many companies, organisations and individuals, MSN would not be able to offer its programs and make the world a far better place for those who receive our scholarships.
In no particular order, MSN thanks the following for their contribution during 2022 – Andrew Monger (AJM Photography), Burton Automotive Group, ClubGRANTS NSW, Collective Heart, Engineers Australia, Euchabil Foundation, Garth Russell (Gen Wise Pty Ltd), HVTC, Knitters Guild NSW (Newcastle), Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group, Newcastle Harness Racing Club, Port Waratah Coal Services, Sparke Helmore, The Marketing GP, The Mutual Bank and University of Newcastle Rugby Union Club.
One of our new sponsors, the Newcastle branch of Knitters Guild NSW, has a unique way of raising funds for MSN.
The branch is taking part in the Hamilton Wesley Uniting Church’s Christmas Tree Decoration charity appeal and members have decorated a tree at the church with knitted and crotchet ornaments.
A sign indicating MSN is the Knitters Guild chosen charity is located by the tree and visitors to the church have until Saturday, 17 December to vote in favour of one of 14 Christmas trees on display.
Voting works as follows – visitors take an envelope and place a donation in the envelope before writing the name of the tree on the envelope and placing it in a box. All money raised by a tree goes to the tree’s designated charity.
Cheques will be distributed at the 9:30 church service on Sunday, 18 December.
Hope you will be able to pop into Hamilton Uniting Church (150-152 Beaumont Street) and place a vote for MSN!
