Many thanks to the students, teachers, sponsors, parents and parents who attended our successful 2025 Educational Scholarship Certificate Presentation Ceremony in mid-May.
It was a very social function with about 100 people attending to see 47 students receive their scholarship certificates .
A special vote of thanks to students from Hunter River High School in Karly Biffin who delivered an ‘Acknowledgement to Country’, and Faith Wilkes (vocalist) and Michella Goodwin (acoustic guitar) who performed for our large gathering.
Our Guest Speaker, Dr Drew Miller (Deputy Director of the Teachers and Teaching Research Centre) was captivating in speaking about ‘aspirations’ and his own life experiences.
Chair of Mentor Support Network, Julie Rich, made a special announcement at the ceremony when she said the organisation would be expanding its scholarship program to provide $500 scholarships to assist Year 12 students prepare for university or further education. More on that topic in coming weeks.
